Global Curriculum Workshop

The telecentre.org academy is developing a continuous learning program in support of the grassroots telecentre knowledge workers who staff telecentres around the world. This learning program would initiate an eLearning system with standardized curricula offered to about 10,000 individuals in 2010-11 endorsed by a number of open universities around the world.

As the first step toward this effort, a write-shop with an aim to create a Global Certification curriculum, on telecentre management is being organized for ten subject matter specialists from eight countries. The curriculum will be developed in English with suitable options to localize in various languages. The write-worksop would be guided by Professor Abtar Kaur of the Open University of Malaysia, who would be training and facilitating with Dr. Basheerhamad Shadrach. Other highlights of this write workshop is the use of Instructional Design Principles to create units of content, integrate technology and specify the assessment method and to understand the importance of eLearning system for the global course, for which two learning management specialists (LMS) have been invited to share their knowledge and experience.
