- The purpose of the course will be to introduce the learners to the issues surrounding managing a technical service centre. Learners will enrol in the part-time online course for one month, which will provide a conceptual platform for learners, which helps to introduce them to the issues covered in the course. This will comprise activities, support resources, links to other useful web resources, and ongoing email engagement with online mentors and a community of their peers. Continual feedback will be provided via email, while the course environment will be designed in such a way that it is possible to monitor the progress of participants in the run up to a five day face-to-face workshop.
